OFALLON, MO Traverse City Beach Bums(2-2) could only put together two hits as they fall to the River City Rascals(1-2), by a final score of 7-0.

In the first inning, River City got on the board with a two-run home run by Zach Lavy. Taylor Love grounded in a run in the second then Clint Freeman hit an RBI single and Gerrion Grim hit a sacrifice fly to take it a 5-0 deficit for the Beach Bums. Kevin Suarez grounded home a run in the fourth then scored on a wild pitch to increase their lead to seven.

From there, the pitching took over for both teams. Scott Grist hurled seven innings of shutout ball, allowing a hit and a walk, while facing the minimum, to get the win. Adam Cornwell suffered the loss for Traverse City, going three innings and allowing five runs on seven hits and a walk, to fall to 0-1.
