JORDAN DESGUIN PICKED UP BY SEATTLE MARINERS

SAUGET, IL -- The Traverse City Beach Bums are very proud to announce that starting pitcher Jordan Desguin has had his contract purchased by the Seattle Mariners.

The Frontier League All-Star is 6-2 with an earned run average of 2.74, which is sixth in the league. In ten starts, he pitched 62 and a third innings, striking out 49 while walking 18. His best start was on June 14th at Wuerfel Park against the River City Rascals. That night, he was an infield hit away from a no-hitter, as he struck out eight on his way to a complete game victory. That week, he was named Frontier League pitcher of the week.

Jordan came to the Beach Bums after three seasons in the Milwaukee Brewers system, being drafted in 2015 out of Florida Gulf Coast University. Previously reaching as high as single-A, the Port Charlotte, Florida native will report to the Modesto Nuts of the advanced-A California State League. He was slated to start in last night's game against the Gateway Grizzlies but was replaced by Justin Finan.

The Bums return home to Wuerfel Park on July 25th, for a Double Header against the Lake Erie Crushers. Don't miss out on this steal of a deal as you'll get to watch TWO games for the price of ONE! Gates open at 4pm for a 5:05 first pitch. For information and tickets, go to TCBeachBums.com or call the office at (231) 943-0100.
