TRAVERSE CITY, MI- The Traverse City Beach Bums’(12-17) Jordan Desguin went the distance to pick up the complete-game win over the River City Rascals(17-12) by a final score of 3-1.

Desguin didn’t allow a hit until the fourth inning and it was JD Hearn beating out a soft grounder to the left side of the infield. Luke Lowery led off the sixth and smashed a line-drive solo home run over the left field wall for the game’s first run, his second of the season. Alexis Rivera and Steve Lohr each followed with walks but Rivera was thrown out at third on an attempted sacrifice bunt by Max Dutto

Kendall Patrick filled the bases with Bums on a walk of his own, then Orlando Rivera rocketed an automatic double that hopped over the wall in right, scoring Lohr and Dutto. River City scored their lone run in the seventh when Mike Jurgella grounded out with Stephen Kerr at third after he lead off the inning by getting hit by a pitch.

Jordan Desguin’s gem earned him his fourth win of the season against no losses, as he struck out eight on the night, including striking out the side in the eighth.
