BEACH BUMS FALL IN LATE DECISION TO WINDY CITY
CITY, MI – The
Traverse City Beach Bums(18-25) and the Windy City Thunderbolts(24-20), were
tied going into the ninth until the ‘Bolts took the game by a final score of

Tonight’s was his eighth of the season, a two run shot over the wall in right,
giving the Beach Bums a 2-0 lead. With runners on the corners in the second,
with one out, Ransom Lalonde beat out a potential double play ball, driving in
Riley Krane, getting Windy City on the board. In the third, Kyle Wood hit his
fourth home run of the season to tie the game.
Wood led off the ninth with a walk but was eliminated on a double
play. Krane and Tim Zier each walked then Corey Bass drove them both in to score
with a double into the right field gap, giving the Thunderbolts a two run
Jake Fisher went all nine innings for the complete game victory improving to 3-4 on the season. He gave up two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out eight. He finished the game by retiring 19 of the last 20 he faced. Devin Over gave up two runs on a hit and three walks in the ninth to fall to 2-1.
Tomorrow evening, the Beach Bums and the Windy City Thunderbolts
will play the finale of this weekend’s three game series. Reinaldo Lopez takes
the hill for the Beach Bums while Clay Chapman gets the assignment for Windy
