FLORENCE, KY -- The Traverse City Beach Bums(28-28) gave up three unearned runs in the first two innings, on their way to dropping a 6-1 decision to the Florence Freedom(28-28).

In the early going of last night's action, a couple of errors gave the Beach Bums some fits, and Florence some runs. With two outs in the third, Keivan Burges rocked a three run homer over the right field wall, doubling the Freedom advantage.

The Beach Bums were finally able to break through onto the scoreboard in the top of the ninth inning. Isaac Benard led off by reaching on an infield single then moved to second when Will Kengor walked. Two batters later, Alexis Rivera laced a double down the right field line, scoring Benard to make it 6-1 but the threat would end there.
