WASHINGTON, PA -- The Traverse City Beach Bums(15-20) took an early 3-0 lead in the first on their way to a big 13-2 win over the Washington Wild Things(23-13), and snatched two of three this week in Pennsylvania.

Alec Olund led off the game with a hard double into left field then Isaac Benard walked, extended his streak of reaching base 25 to 25 games. Will Kengor put the Bums on the board, hitting an opposite field three run homer. Washington scored in the bottom of the inning when Roman Collins hit a sacrifice fly then the teams traded runs in the second.

Max Dutto led off the inning by getting hit by a pitch then he moved to second on a wild pitch. Josh Hauser followed and cranked a double into left scoring Dutto. Washington pulled within two in the bottom of the frame when Mike Hill hit a solo homer. In the third, the Beach Bums brought nine men to the plate, scoring six runs on six hits to pull away.

Kengor led off the inning with a single then a wild pitch advanced him to second. Two batters later, Alexis Rivera hit a ball to the right side of the infield and he was able to leg out a single. The throw to first got away and Kengor came in to score. Steve Lohr rocketed a triple to deep centerfield to plate Alexis Rivera. After Dutto walked, Hauser hit a chopper over the mound for an infield hit to bring Lohr in to score and moved Dutto to second. Washington brought in a reliever but it didn't help as Orlando Rivera cleared both Dutto and Hauser with a two-run triple, and the Bums led 10-2.

Kengor kept his hot hitting alive with his second homer of the game, this time over the left field wall for his sixth of the season. Lowery then reached on an infield single and Steve Lohr hit a two-run blast to left-center field for his second of the season, and that's all the Beach Bums would need.

Reinaldo Lopez spread out six hits over seven innings of work for tonights win. He allowed two runs and struck five as he improved to 2-3 on the year. Washington starter, Danny Garmendia, suffered the loss, going into the third giving up nine runs on seven hits and two walks as he falls to 2-4. Former Indianapolis Colts punter and Barstool Sports Radio host, Pat McAfee, started in right field for Washington and went 0 for 3 and made a catch in the field.
