Beach Bums Career
Jake had a standout rookie season in 2014 batting .271, three homers and 30 RBI. He was one of the club’s representatives at the mid-season All-Star Game.

Previous Experience
Jake graduated from Murray State University where he hit for a combined .294 with eight home runs and 67 RBI during his two years with the Racers. He twice earned Ohio Valley Conference Hitter of the Week honors.

Prior to Murray State, Rhodes spent two years at Wabash Valley College where he received All Conference Awards in 2009 and 2010 as well as earning All-American Honorable Mention, and the GRAC Conference Tournament MVP awards in 2010. He batted .410 his freshman year and .401 his sophomore year with 17 home runs in the 2 years combined.

Rhodes was a four-year varsity athlete and earned All-State catcher honors while playing for Ypsilanti High School in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Jacob graduated from Murray State University in 2012, earning his degree in Media Electronics. He calls Ypsilanti home during the off-season. His proud parents are Michael & Karrie Rhodes.
