#21 Folmer, Richard (RHP)

2010 SEASON OUTLOOK
Folmer comes to the Beach Bums with a year of professional baseball experience. He is a talented strikeout pitcher and figures to be the Beach Bums closer in 2010.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Folmer was drafted by the Kansas City Royals organization in 25th round of 2009 draft. He split time with the Arizona League’s Arizona Royals and the Idaho Falls Chukars of the Pioneer League last season. Folmer finished with a 1-2 record and a 4.36 ERA in 23 games out of bullpen for Idaho Falls. He tied for team lead with eight saves and struck out 42 batters in 33 innings pitched.

COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
Folmer appeared in 97 games at Stephen F. Austin from 2006 through 2009. He saved 12 games, a team high, and held opposing batters to a .162 batting average against during his senior season for Lumberjacks.
