
7/8/2012 - Normal, IL - The Normal CornBelters, presented by the Illinois Corn Farmers, will be hosting the 2012 State Farm Frontier League Home Run Derby and All-Star Game on July 10 – 11. The hitters for the Frontier League teams are as follows:

The Evansville and Washington slots will be taken by Traverse City's Jeff Flagg and Southern Illinois' Chad Maddox.
Each home run hitter participating in the 2012 State Farm Home Run Derby will be paired with a group and will have a representative from that group on the field with them. The top home run hitter will win $1,000 for themselves as well as for the group with which they are partnered! The 14 groups paired with a hitter are:

The top home run hitter will also receive six Prairie Sticks bats, while the runner-up will receive three bats. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win Big Macs for a year courtesy of McDonald's / Little Jewel's, their mortgage paid for a year courtesy of Mortgage Services III, lottery tickets courtesy of Illinois Lottery and NASCAR tickets at the Chicagoland Speedway courtesy of Illinois Corn Marketing Board.
The 2012 State Farm Home Run Derby will take place on Tuesday, July 10 at 6:30pm, but don't miss out on the special activities going on throughout the day! Kick off the morning at Advocate BroMenn and the Boys and Girls Club of McLean County as All-Star players and coaches will be making charitable appearances from 9:00am to 10:30am. Corny will also be tagging along to the Boys and Girls Club!
Make sure to head to the Corn Crib before the State Farm Frontier League Home Run Derby starts to get autographs from your favorite All-Star players. Autograph signing will take place from 5:00pm to 6:00pm and is presented by Wilber. During the Home Run Derby, which kicks off at 6:30pm, the Corn Crib will be welcoming our friend Reggy the Purple Party Dude, presented by the Illinois Corn Growers. Reggy will be sure to keep you entertained with his wild antics throughout the homerun contest! Stick around after the derby as Illinois Lottery will present a fantastic fireworks display!
On Wednesday, July 11 at 6:30pm, the Corn Crib will be hosting the 2012 State Farm Frontier League All-Star Game. Selected players from the East and West Division will battle it out in this annual special event. Reggy the Purple Party Dude, presented by Illinois Corn Growers, will be back for even more crazy entertainment. Frontier Communications will also be presenting Post-Game Fireworks immediately following the game. Stick around after the fireworks for the Post-Game Party from 9:30pm to 11:00pm, presented by Mid Illini Credit Union. This unique experience allows you to mingle with the All-Stars and also features a performance from our special guests, Brushfire! This local band will keep you engaged with their unique mix of country and upbeat rock music. Brushfire recently beat out over 300 bands and won the Battle for the Saddle at The Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, TN. They have performed with other top country artists and bands such as Lady Antebellum, Jake Owen, Alan Jackson, The Band Perry, Josh Thompson and more! To partake in the Post-Game Party, you must have tickets to the All-Star game.
