The 2010 season will be Tim’s first with the Beach Bums and he brings a new level of enthusiasm and energy to his position even though his previous work experience is radically different than the world of minor league baseball.
Tim has been a Resident Assistant at Northwestern Michigan College’s dorms where he developed enlightening and engaging programming for the residents. He also served as a paraprofessional counselor for the students with an “open door” policy which gave the students an outlet to discuss individual issues. Tim gave compelling presentations that reinsured the parents that their children would be in safe hands while living in the dorms as well as encouraged the future students that living in the dorms would be an exciting new chapter in their lives.
Tim spent the last decade heavily involved in the maritime industry. He completed a tour in the United States Coast Guard which took him along the West Coast and the Bering Sea frequently. He also spent a season as a commercial shrimper off the coast of Oregon and Washington which furthered his skill set and prepared him for enrollment at the Great Lakes Maritime Academy and Ferris State University. Tim graduated with a bachelor’s degree and also a third mate unlimited tonnage deck officer license.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Tim makes sure he allows time to root for his hometown teams. He is an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds in baseball and the Cincinnati Bengals in football. But he is also devoted colligate supporter of the Cincinnati Bearcats, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
